Harm Reduction Hoax

In 2006, the UK Times reported that 35,000 British children, under the age of 16, were second generation heroin users. Harm reduction, Safe Sites, free heroin for hard core intravenous users and the UK, Drug Policy Alliance have all played a huge part in normalizing the use of heroin and the steady growth of the number of new heroin users in the UK.
In 2007 the USA, Drug Policy Alliance, financed by George Soros, finally managed to push through a “Needle Access Program,” in New Jersey, the last state to hold out in the USA. This was accomplished by the DPA, pro-legalization lobbyists, who contributed heavily into the PAC (Political Action Committees) of KEY NJ Assembly people and KEY NJ Senators. It passed in NJ despite evidence based research reports on how these programs have failed in the USA over the last 15 years.
The excuse was that this is a way to stop AIDS, the spread of all blood borne diseases, “risky sex,” crime, and death by intravenous users (IDU’s). Facts for the well informed, AIDS is no longer the threat that it once was, due to new antiretroviral therapy medications. However, all blood borne diseases, especially hepatitis C, have increased dramatically. “Risky sex” continues to be the main cause of the spread of all blood borne diseases despite NEPs. The biggest increase in heroin use continues to be by those under 25. The majority of IDU’s continue to share needles. It is a part of the drug culture. Very few, enter treatment programs unless forced to by the courts. Very few regularly even go to these centers unless it is to score. Crime has increased in practically every major inner city with NEPs and the number one cause of death to an intravenous drug user is death from an overdose not a disease.
When will we close Needle Access Centers, eliminate the harm they expose people to, promote prevention and establish viable treatment centers for those already caught up in the throws of addiction?
Our children are our future. They deserve to be safeguarded. The real war on drugs has yet to begin. Only a handful of well informed, dedicated volunteers with no financial support; parents, grandparents, doctors, nurses, scientists, lawyers, law enforcement personnel, teachers, statesmen, etc., continue to fight against the well financed legalizers and continue to promote prevention information and programs.
